Bail Bondsman Agent

Judge Bail BondYou’ve been handcuffed and booked into jail. Now what? Now is the time to call a Rush bail bondsman agent. The hours following an arrest can be terrifying. They don’t have to be with someone you can trust by your side. If you want out of jail as soon as possible, call Rush Bail Bonds as soon as possible.

To make this as easy as possible we need a few key pieces of information:

  1. Full legal name of the person in jail.
  2. Where the accused is being held.
  3. The inmate’s booking number.

How quickly can you get me out of here?

Great question. By working with an experienced bail bondsman agent, we can get you out from behind bars within 24 hours. Before that can happen you’ll need to make a first appearance in front of a judge. By law, you will have this court hearing within 24 hours of your arrest.

Based on your charges and criminal history, a judge will determine the dollar amount you must pay to get out of jail. This is called bail. Bail can be very very expensive and that’s why it makes more financial sense to work with a professional bail bondsman agent. We charge 10-15% of the total bail amount to get you out of jail. So, if bail is set at $10,000 your share would be between $1,000 and $1,500. We offer flexible payment options to ease the financial burden of an arrest. We also accept collateral such as a car, house or other valuable item. If you’re unable to sign our contract, we will ask for a co-signer such as your parents or spouse. Once you’ve entered into a contract with bail agents, we work quickly with the judicial system to secure your release. By agreeing to a contract with us, you are responsible to how up to court when required. If you have a co-signer, they are also accepting full responsibility for you once your out of jail.

Bail Bonding JeepI’m out of jail! Thank you. Now what?

When you post bond, there are rules you must follow as part of your release. You must be present at every court hearing until your case is resolved. If you don’t show up to court, then Rush Bail Bonds is responsible for the total amount of the bail. This means you or your co-signer is responsible for the bail. In the event we can not locate you and bring you back to jail, we will begin the process of collecting the collateral you or a loved one put down to post bail. This means your home could be auctioned off or your car repossessed.

Bottom line: show up to court!

Depending on the charges, a court case can last anywhere from a few months to a few years. Get a pocket calendar to keep track of all the court hearings. It can be overwhelming, but if you stay organized you can get through this! Once your case has been resolved, your contract with a licensed bail bondman agent is terminated too. We are no longer liable for you and that means your co-signer is off the hook too.

What is bail?

Bail is essentially an insurance policy with the judicial system to guarantee you will be present for future court hearings. Bail is set by a judge at your husband’s first appearance, also known as an arraignment. During this hearing your husband will be read his charges against him, his right to a speedy trial and right to an attorney. If you can’t afford an attorney, your husband will be appointed a public defender. The judge will also set bail at this time. Bail is determined based on several factors, including ties to the community, employment and how likely you are to skip town and your court hearings.

How do I pay for bail?

You have several options. You can pay cash directly to the courts. However, we know paying for the total bill out of pocket is not realistic for many families. Another option is to work with a third party, such as Rush Bail Bonds. To post the bail, you’re husband will need a co-signer, collateral and money to pay for a non-refundable fee. Rush Bail Bonds charges between 10%-15% of the bail amount. For example, if bail is set at $20,000 you would need to only pay $2,000-$2,500. In addition, we need collateral. This is typical across the board with bail bonding service companies. Collateral is essentially anything of value. We accept jewelry, bank accounts, property and even cars as collateral. After you accept the terms of our bail bonding service, we contract with the court to secure your husbands release.

My Husband is out of jail!

Thank you! Now what? Great question. Now that your husband is out of jail, its imperative he stay out of trouble and show up to every court hearing. If you’re unsure of his next court hearing call his attorney or public defender. If your husband fails to show up to future court hearings and violates the specific terms of his release, then his bail could be revoked and a new arrest warrant issued. If this happens, then Rush Bail Bonds will become financially responsible for the total bail amount. At this point, we would begin collecting the collateral you posted as part of our agreement. This means your home or property could be sold, if this was part of the collateral you signed on the contract. We hope it never reaches this point. As a co-signer you are also responsible to make sure your husband is staying on top of his case.

When do I need a jail bond company?

You may be asking yourself “how do jail bonds work?”  You will need a jail bond company if you don’t have all the cash to cover the total bail set by a judge. Depending on the crime, alleged offenders sometimes will be released without bail and on their own recognizance. This means they are free to leave the jail after being booked. Although, the accused still has to sign a document promising to will be present for future court hearings. More often than not though, you will have to pay something to get out of jail. Bail is essentially an insurance policy guaranteeing you will show up to future court proceedings.

How is my bail determined?

A judge sets your bail based on a variety of factors: charges against you, criminal history, how likely you are to leave town and skip court hearings, community involvement and if you are employed. Taking all these factor into consideration, a judge will come up with your bail amount.  There are different jail bond types, but they work basically the same.

But, my bail is set at $25,000!!!! How am I going to afford this? Take a deep breathe. It’s going to be okay. When you work with a professional jail bond company, you only need to come up with a small percentage of the total bail amount. Here’s how it works: If your bail is set at $25,000, you will pay 10%-15% of the total amount to Rush Bail Bonds. This is a non-refundable fee. Once the fee is paid, our experienced bail bond agents work with the courts to secure your release. We often require you post collateral to make up for the rest of the bail amount. We accept anything of value for collateral, including property, bank accounts and vehicles. We only collect the collateral if the defendant fails to show up to court. If the accused does not make court appearances, they will face new charges and be responsible for the total bail amount. By posting collateral, we have a source of income to pay for the entire bail if the defendant doesn’t follow through with the terms of their release. No one is ever financially prepared for an arrest. We understand. The last thing we want you to worry about is money. So, if you’re still struggling to pay our jail bond fee please let us know and we can walk you through several flexible payment options.

The average size of a jail cell is 6 feet by 9 feet, about the size of a large area rug. You’re basically living in a concrete closet.
